Aussie’s Half-Million Lights Set Christmas Decoration Record

David Richard set a new record this year when he strung up 29 miles worth of Christmas lights. Dedicated to the cause, Richard took a week off in October to start setting up.

Australian utility company, ActewAGL, is sponsoring this feat and using it a promotional opportunity for renewable resources. Richard is also donating all the proceeds from visitors to the home to a charity called SIDS and Kids, a group that counsels parents who have lost an infant to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
